Besides the WHO’s work on child health, many other sectors also started working on the child health development to support the nurturing care and early development of a child. A healthy child can reach to the every corners of the potential by the age and maturity, whereas it will be difficult for others to reach that same pinch. Most importantly the childhood development decides the future of a kid, i.e. its adult hood characters and behavior.

There are number of infectious diseases, which are common among children and some of them have high mortality rate. Diseases; like diarrhea, acute respiratory infections (ARI) Measles, pertussis (whooping cough), diphtheria, polio, tetanus and tuberculosis have high mortality rate and infections.

Some of the important steps can safe your child from many serious infections:

  • ·         Start the day with a healthy breakfast
  • ·         Let the kid plan his/ her own meal once in a week
  • ·         Eat together as a family as often as possible
  • ·         Take time eating and chew slowly
  • ·         Eat more vegetables and more fruits
  • ·         Eat more whole grain
  • ·         Drink more fluids
